At SpotMe we use technology to create transformative events for our clients, delivering not just the best event app on the market , but the expertise and design consulting that ensures the technology is realizing its full potential.
It’s all about their desired outcomes: We’ve used an app-facilitated exercise to create a corporate budget in just 90 minutes. We’ve created a process that’s given over 3,000 the chance to engage with their company’s top leadership. We’ve created the “Connections Wall,” a cool, live visualization of the business cards that are being exchanged electronically for the app. Basically, we eat events for breakfast.
As an Event Engineer, you will be an important part of our on-site delivery of the app. Your responsibilities will be widely varied and include things like helping participants install the app, answering questions they might have about the app, making live updates of the app, assisting in the facilitation of live features both before the event (training speakers on how to facilitate Q&A for example), and behind stage (running live polling or manning a laptop that is showing a visualization on the big screen).
While you will report directly to the Director of Event Operations, you will work most closely with our Project Managers. These are the folks who manage the timelines and execution of the app. You’ll also work at the events with other Event Engineers.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a background in customer service, technology (particularly networking), and enjoy traveling. The travel can range from 20% - 90% depending on your skill level and our seasonal workload. Destinations are typically domestic but we do often travel internationally as well.
And there’s room for growth. While you will begin as a Level 1 Event Engineer, if you to well and show us that you’re good, you’ll be invited to train for Level 2 Event Engineer and the opportunity to join us full-time.
