Before the Event

What will SpotMe do for me?

SpotMe offers each participant unique organizational and participation tools, ranging from an “always-the-latest” electronic agenda, instant messaging, business card exchanging, maps, live session response (free-text and polling) and much more.

How do I get a SpotMe?

When you arrive at the conference and register to get your badge, you will have your photo taken and be given your SpotMe device along with a quick-start instructional guide to help you become familiar with it.
 

At the Event

What do I do if I have a problem with my device?

SpotMe technicians will be at the registration desk for the whole event and can quickly help you with any issues you may encounter.

How do I exchange business cards?

Click the bottom middle button (directly below the envelop icon) and touch the back of your device to another participant’s device.

Do I need to charge the device?

Your SpotMe device will last about 3 days on a single charge, and will turn off its screen after a period of inactivity on its own to conserve power. Should your device need more charge, please come visit a technician at the registration area for a device swap (approximately 30 seconds).

How do I change my email address or phone number?

Please come see a SpotMe technician at the registration desk who can help you make this change and verify the rest of your information is accurate.

Can I change my photo?

Yes, please come see a SpotMe technician at the registration desk to have your photo re-taken. If you have a stock photo you’d like to use instead, you may also provide this to the technician.

What happens when I send a question to a speaker?

Questions sent to speakers will go directly to the iPad the speaker was given by SpotMe. Please note that due to time constraints or topical reasons your question may not be raised by the speaker during the session.

Who can see my contact details?

Only participants that you have actively “Exchanged” cards with can see your contact details. You can review your card inside the Briefcase icon under “My Business Card”. All other participants will only see your name, photo, company, title, and region.

How do I download information off the SpotMe?

SpotMe will send you an email after the event with a personalized link containing:
  • Your business card exchanges
  • Your notes
  • Any saved/spotted participants (sans contact details)
  • Any other saved content (sponsor profiles, documents, etc depending on event)

After the Event

What do I do If I don’t receive my post-event email?

Please email support@spotme.com if you have not received your login link within one week after the event has ended.

What do I do if my contact information is wrong on the post-event site?

You can prevent this by verifying your contact information in your Briefcase during the event. However, if this does happen, please email support@spotme.com to have this taken care of.

Why do some of my contacts not have contact details?

Some participants may have asked to have their contact information removed, or did not supply it to the conference organizer before or during the conference.
