Freescale is not only a leading manufacturer of semiconductors, but it’s also a veteran innovator when it comes to participant engagement and interactivity. Way back in 2004 they used SpotMe to pick participants for a Guitar Hero contest on the main stage. Since 2008 Freescale has used session attendance data to learn about their participants’ interests and better target their user communications outside the Forum.
Both the SpotMe 2 device and the SpotMe app were co-developed with the Freescale’s Carl Dahlberg (Sr. Manager, Ecosystem & Training Programs).
In 2012 Freescale’s 20-person event team decided to order the SpotMe mobile event app before it was even launched. It was used at their flagship 2000-participant FTF in San Antonio with attendance tracking in hundreds of breakouts, a huge showcase and the fabulous Make It Challenge.
